धौम्यश्नैव कथं क्षत्तद्रौपदी च यशस्विनी । श्रोतुमिच्छाम्यहं सर्व तेषां शंस विचेष्टितम्,पुरोहित धौम्य तथा यशस्विनी द्रौपदी भी कैसे जा रही है? मैं उन सबकी पृथक्-पृथक् चेष्टाओंको सुनना चाहता हूँ, तुम मुझसे कहो
Dhr̥tarāṣṭra uvāca: Dhaumyenaiva kathaṃ kṣatta Draupadī ca yaśasvinī | Śrotum icchāmy ahaṃ sarvaṃ teṣāṃ śaṃsa viceṣṭitam ||
“โอ ขัตตา! ปุโรหิตเธามยะและเทราปทีผู้มีเกียรติยศไปอย่างไร? เราปรารถนาจะฟังทุกสิ่ง—จงเล่าให้เราฟังถึงอาการเคลื่อนไหวและการกระทำของพวกเขาทั้งหมด”
