एवमाकारलिड्रैस्ते व्यवसायं मनोगतम् । कथयन्तश्न कौन्तेया वन॑ जम्मुर्मनस्विन:,महाराज! इस प्रकार मनस्वी कुन्तीपुत्र अपनी आकृति एवं चिह्लोंके द्वारा अपने आन्तरिक निश्चयको प्रकट करते हुए वनको गये हैं
evam-ākāra-liṅgais te vyavasāyaṁ manogatam | kathayantaś ca kaunteyā vanaṁ jagmur manasvinaḥ ||
ดังนั้น โอรสแห่งกุนตีผู้มีใจแน่วแน่เหล่านั้น ก็เผยให้เห็นปณิธานภายในด้วยรูปลักษณ์และอาการภายนอกของตน ราวกับได้ประกาศแล้ว จึงออกเดินทางสู่ป่า
