दुर्योधनस्य बलिवर्णनम् — Duryodhana’s Description of Tribute at the Rājasūya
स मामभ्यनुजानीहि मातुलाद्य सुदुःखितम् | अमर्ष च समाविष्टं धृतराष्ट्रे निवेदय,मामाजी! अब मुझे (मरनेके लिये) आज्ञा दीजिये, क्योंकि मैं बहुत दुःखी हूँ और ईर्ष्यकी आगमें जल रहा हूँ। महाराज धृतराष्ट्रको मेरी यह अवस्था सूचित कर दीजियेगा
sā mām abhyanujānīhi mātulādya suduḥkhitam | amarṣaṁ ca samāviṣṭaṁ dhṛtarāṣṭre nivedaya ||
“โอ้ ลุงฝ่ายมารดา โปรดอนุญาตให้เราจากไปบัดนี้ เราเศร้าโศกยิ่งนัก และถูกความขุ่นเคืองอันยากทนเข้าครอบงำ ขอท่านจงกราบทูลสภาพของเราแด่พระเจ้าธฤตราษฏระด้วย”
