Dyūta-kathā-praśnaḥ — Inquiry into the Dice-Game Calamity

न प्रवक्ष्यामि परुषं भ्रातृनन्यांश्व पार्थिवान्‌ । स्थितो निदेशे ज्ञातीनां योक्ष्ये तत्‌ समुदाहरन्‌,“मैं अपने भाइयों तथा दूसरे राजाओंसे कभी कड़वी बात नहीं बोलूँगा। बन्धु- बान्धवोंकी आज्ञामें रहकर प्रसन्नतापूर्वक उनकी मुँहमाँगी वस्तुएँ लानेमें संलग्न रहूँगा'

na pravakṣyāmi paruṣaṃ bhrātṝn anyāṃś ca pārthivān | sthito nideśe jñātīnāṃ yokṣye tat samudāharan ||

ข้าจะไม่กล่าววาจาหยาบคายต่อพี่น้องของข้าหรือกษัตริย์องค์ใดอื่น ๆ เมื่ออยู่ใต้คำสั่งของญาติวงศ์ ข้าจะมุ่งมั่นนำมาและจัดหาให้ตามที่พวกเขาปรารถนา
