Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic statecraft: even when pursuing conquest, a warrior acts under rightful authorization and aligns action with auspicious, ritually sanctioned timing—signaling discipline, respect for order, and responsibility rather than impulsive aggression.

Arjuna declares his readiness to depart on a campaign toward the northern quarter, described as protected by Kubera (Dhanada). He emphasizes leaving at a properly observed tithi, muhūrta, and nakṣatra, indicating formal preparation for a sanctioned expedition.
