ऐलवंश्याश्व ये राजंस्तथैवेक्ष्वाकवो नृपा: । तानि चैकशतं विद्धि कुलानि भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ राजन्‌! पुरूरवा तथा इक्ष्वाकुके वंशमें जो नरेश आजकल हैं, उनके एक सौ कुल विद्यमान हैं; यह बात आप अच्छी तरह जान लें

ailavaṁśyāśva ye rājan tathaivekṣvākavo nṛpāḥ | tāni caikaśataṁ viddhi kulāni bharatarṣabha ||

โอ้พระราชาผู้ประเสริฐแห่งวงศ์ภารตะ! บรรดากษัตริย์ผู้สืบสายไอละ (ปุรูรวัส) และกษัตริย์ผู้สืบสายอิกษวากุในกาลนี้ จงทราบเถิดว่า ราชตระกูลทั้งหลายเหล่านั้นรวมกันมีหนึ่งร้อยตระกูล
