कपिलानां सवत्सानां वर्षमेक॑ निरन्तरम् | यो दद्यात् सुकृतं तद्धि श्रवणात् कर्णपर्वण:
kapilānāṁ savatsānāṁ varṣam ekaṁ nirantaram | yo dadyāt sukṛtaṁ tad dhi śravaṇāt karṇaparvaṇaḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “บุคคลใดถวายโคกปิลา (โคสีแดงทอง) พร้อมลูกโค ทุกวันโดยไม่ขาด ตลอดหนึ่งปีเต็ม ย่อมได้บุญกุศลเพียงใด— บุญกุศลนั้นแลย่อมได้เพียงด้วยการสดับ ‘กรรณปัรวะ’ เท่านั้น”
