तत्रास्त्रसंघातसमावृतं तदा बभूव राजंस्तुमुलं सम सर्वतः । तत् कर्णपार्थो शरवृष्टिसंघै- निरिन्तरं चक्रतुरम्बरं तदा
tatrāstrasaṅghātasamāvṛtaṃ tadā babhūva rājan tumulaṃ samaṃ sarvataḥ | tat karṇapārtho śaravṛṣṭisaṅghair nirantaraṃ cakratur ambaram tadā ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ข้าแต่พระราชา ครานั้นทั่วทั้งบริเวณถูกปกคลุมด้วยหมู่ศาสตราวุธ จนแลดูน่าสะพรึงเท่าเทียมกันทุกทิศ. แล้วกรรณะกับอรชุนก็ระดมห่าศรอย่างไม่ขาดสาย จนท้องฟ้าถูกอัดแน่นเต็มไปตลอดเวลา.
