युधिष्ठिरस्य धनंजय-प्रति गर्हा
Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproach to Dhanaṃjaya
स राजगृद्धिभी रुद्ध: पाण्डुपाज्चालकेकयै: । नाशकत् तानकिक्रान्तुं मृत्युर्रह्म विदो यथा
sa rājagṛddhibhī ruddhaḥ pāṇḍupāñcālakekayaiḥ | nāśakat tān atikrāntuṁ mṛtyur brahmavido yathā ||
เหล่าปาณฑพ พร้อมด้วยปัญจาลและเคกยะ—นักรบผู้มุ่งพิทักษ์พระราชา—ได้ล้อมกัรณะไว้จนถูกสกัด มิอาจฝ่าออกไปได้ ดุจความตายไม่อาจก้าวล่วงผู้รู้พรหมัน ฉันใด กัรณะผู้เกรียงไกรก็ไม่อาจผ่านวงล้อมคุ้มกันนั้นไปได้ฉันนั้น
