ท่ามกลางศึก ธงชัย ป้ายธง และฉัตรของพวกเขาถูกทำลายยับเยิน; ม้า สารถี และอาวุธก็สูญสิ้นไป ภาพนั้นประหนึ่งสงครามฉีกกระชากม่านแห่งศักดิ์ศรีและความคุ้มครอง เหลือไว้เพียงผลลัพธ์อันโหดร้ายของความรุนแรง
