यथा देवैर्महाराज ईश्वरादघिको वृत: । तथा भवानपि क्षिप्रं रुद्रस्येव पितामह:

Transliteration

yathā devair mahārāja īśvarād adhiko vṛtaḥ | tathā bhavān api kṣipraṁ rudrasyeva pitāmahaḥ ||

Translation

ทุรโยธนะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่มหาราช ดังที่เหล่าเทพเคยเลือกผู้ซึ่งยิ่งกว่าอีศวร (พระศิวะ) ฉันใด ท่านก็พึงรีบเลือกแม่ทัพโดยพลัน—ดุจปิตามหะ (ภีษมะ) ผู้เป็นดั่งหลักแก่รุทร ฉันนั้น”
