एवमुक्तः प्रत्युवाच तरयम्बकं वरदं प्रभुम् उनके ऐसा कहनेपर परशुरामने वरदायक भगवान् त्रिलोचनको इस प्रकार उत्तर दिया

ครั้นถูกกล่าวเช่นนั้น ปรศุรามะจึงทูลตอบพระตรีมพกะ ผู้เป็นเจ้าเนตรที่สาม ผู้ประทานพร ดังนี้
दुर्योधन उवाच
Power and outcomes in war and life are not merely personal achievements; they are conditioned by dharma and by the divine order. Addressing Śiva as ‘varada’ highlights the ethical weight of boons—gifts received (or sought) carry responsibilities and consequences.
After being spoken to, Paraśurāma responds by addressing Tryambaka (Śiva), the boon-giving Lord. The line functions as a transition into Paraśurāma’s reply/prayer, situating the ensuing speech within a devotional and consequential framework.
