Mahabharata 7.204.87Drona Parva, Adhyaya 204, Shloka 87

जगाम ससुरस्तूर्ण ब्रह्माणं प्रभुमव्ययम्‌ । तदनन्तर स्तम्भित हुई भुजाके साथ ही देवताओंसहित इन्द्र तुरंत ही वहाँसे अविनाशी भगवान्‌ ब्रह्माजीके पास गये ।।

jagāma sa-surās tūrṇaṁ brahmāṇaṁ prabhum avyayam | tadanantaraṁ te taṁ praṇamya śirasā prūcuḥ prāñjalayas tadā | “brahman! pārvatyāḥ kroḍe bālarūpa-dhārī eko ’dbhutaḥ prāṇī āsīt; taṁ dṛṣṭvāpi vayaṁ naivainaṁ pratyabhijñātum aśaknumaḥ” ||

ครั้นแล้วอินทราพร้อมหมู่เทพก็รีบไปเฝ้าพรหม ผู้เป็นเจ้าอันไม่เสื่อมสลาย ครั้นถึงแล้วต่างก้มเศียรนอบน้อม ประนมมือกราบทูลว่า “ข้าแต่พรหม ในตักของพระนางปารวตีมีสรรพสิ่งอัศจรรย์หนึ่งในรูปเด็ก แม้ได้เห็นแล้วพวกข้าก็มิอาจรู้ได้ว่าแท้จริงผู้นั้นคือผู้ใด”
