एष वै भगवान्‌ देव: संग्रामे याति तेडग्रत: । येन दत्तानि ते<स्त्राणि यैस्त्वया दानवा हता:

vyāsa uvāca | eṣa vai bhagavān devaḥ saṅgrāme yāti te 'grataḥ | yena dattāni te 'strāṇi yais tvayā dānavā hatāḥ ||

วยาสกล่าวว่า “จงดูเถิด—พระผู้เป็นเจ้าองค์นี้ เทวะผู้ประเสริฐ เสด็จไปเบื้องหน้าเจ้าในสนามรบ และพระองค์เองที่ประทานอาวุธสวรรค์ซึ่งเจ้าสังหารเหล่าทานพได้”
