महत् पूर्व स्थितो यच्च प्राणोत्पत्तिस्थितश्न यत् । स्थितलिडज्ञश्न यन्नित्यं तस्मात् स्थाणुरिति स्मृत:
Translation
วยาสกล่าวว่า—พระองค์ทรงดำรงอยู่เป็นมหันต์มาตั้งแต่กาลก่อน เป็นเหตุแห่งกำเนิดและความดำรงอยู่ของปราณ และพระวรกายอันเป็นลิงคะของพระองค์ตั้งมั่นไม่หวั่นไหวเป็นนิตย์; เพราะเหตุนั้นจึงทรงเป็นที่ระลึกนามว่า ‘สถาณุ’ ผู้มั่นคงไม่เคลื่อนคลอน।
