sañjaya uvāca | sāntare tu pratijñāte rājño droṇena nigrahe | tataste sainikāḥ śrutvā taṃ yudhiṣṭhira-nigraham āptair āśu parijñātaṃ bhāradvāja-cikīrṣitam |
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา เมื่อโทรณะ—โดยเว้นช่วงไว้เล็กน้อย—ให้สัตย์ว่าจะจับกุมพระเจ้ายุธิษฐิระ เหล่านักรบของพระองค์ได้ยินแผนการจับยุธิษฐิระแล้วก็เปล่งเสียงคำรามดุจสิงห์ และตบแขนของตนดังสนั่น โอ้เชื้อสายภรตะ! ในเวลานั้นเอง ธรรมราชยุธิษฐิระผู้มีปัญญา ก็รู้โดยฉับพลันผ่านสายลับผู้ไว้วางใจได้ว่า บุตรแห่งภารทวาชะ (โทรณะ) มุ่งหมายจะกระทำสิ่งใด”
