sañjaya uvāca | bhojatas tu kṣata-sarvāṅgo bhīmasenena māriṣa | raktāśoka ivotphullo vyabhrājata raṇājire ||

ข้าแต่พระราชาผู้ควรเคารพ กฤตวรมันแห่งวงศ์โภชะ ถูกศรของภีมเสนะทำให้บาดเจ็บฉกรรจ์ทั่วกาย ในสนามรบเขาชุ่มโชกด้วยโลหิตแต่ยังส่องประกายดุจต้นอโศกแดงที่กำลังผลิบานเต็มที่
