अपृच्छद् वाष्पसंरुद्धों नि:श्वसन् वाचमीरयन् । मम प्राणै: प्रियतम: क्व भीम इति दु:खित:
apṛcchad vāṣpa-saṁruddho niḥśvasan vācam īrayan | mama prāṇaiḥ priyatamaḥ kva bhīma iti duḥkhitaḥ ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—เขาถูกน้ำตาอุดกั้นลำคอ หอบหายใจและฝืนเปล่งวาจา ด้วยความทุกข์จึงถามว่า “ภีมอยู่ที่ใด—ผู้เป็นที่รักยิ่งกว่าชีวิตของข้า?” ครั้นกล่าวดังนี้แล้วก็ถูกความโศกครอบงำจนแทบทรุด
