Droṇa–Dhṛṣṭadyumna-yuddha (द्रोण-धृष्टद्युम्न-युद्धम्) — Tactical duel and allied interventions
तदपास्य भनुश्कछिन्न॑ कुन्तीपुत्रो युधिष्िर: । अन्यत् कार्मुकमादाय वेगवद् बलवत्तरम्,तब कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिरने उस कटे हुए धनुषको फेंककर दूसरा वेगयुक्त एवं प्रबलतर धनुष ले लिया और झुकी हुई गाँठवाले तीखे बाणोंद्वारा मद्रराज शल्यको ढक दिया। फिर क्रोधमें भरकर कहा--“खड़े रहो, खड़े रहो”
tad apāsya dhanuṣka-chinnaṁ kuntīputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | anyat kārmukam ādāya vegavad balavattaram |
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ยุธิษฐิระ โอรสแห่งกุนตี สลัดคันศรที่ถูกฟันขาดทิ้ง แล้วหยิบคันศรอีกเล่มที่ว่องไวและทรงพลังกว่า จากนั้นเขาก็ระดมศรคมที่มีข้อศรโค้งงอเข้าปกคลุมศัลยะ กษัตริย์แห่งมทราโดยรอบ ครั้นโทสะพลุ่งพล่านจึงตะโกนท้ารบว่า “หยุด! หยุด!”
