भीष्मस्य जलप्रार्थना — अर्जुनस्य पर्जन्यास्त्रप्रयोगः — दुर्योधनं प्रति सन्ध्युपदेशः

रथैरनेकसाहसै: समन्तात् पर्यवारयत् | ततः प्रववृते युद्धमर्जुनस्य परै: सह,दुर्योधनकी यह बात सुनकर प्रस्थलाके स्वामी त्रिगर्तराज सुशमनि रणक्षेत्रमें धावा करके भीमसेन और अर्जुन दोनों धनुर्धर वीरोंको अनेक सहस्र रथोंद्वारा सब ओरसे घेर लिया। उस समय अर्जुनका शत्रुओंके साथ घोर युद्ध होने लगा
