भीष्मस्य शरशय्या-प्राप्तिः
Bhīṣma’s Fall to the Arrow-Bed
चेकितानं रणे यत्तं भीष्म प्रति जनेश्वर । चित्रसेनस्तव सुतः क्रुद्धसर्पमवारयत्,जनेश्वर! दूसरी ओर भीष्मके प्रति प्रयत्नपूर्वक आक्रमण करनेवाले क्रोधमें भरे हुए चेकितानको रणभूमिमें आपके पुत्र चित्रसेनने रोक दिया
Cekitānaṃ raṇe yattaṃ Bhīṣmaṃ prati janeśvara | Citrasenas tava sutaḥ kruddha-sarpam avārayat ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่เจ้าแห่งชนทั้งหลาย เมื่อเจกิตานผู้เดือดดาลในสนามรบพุ่งเข้าหาภีษมะ โอรสของพระองค์คือจิตรเสนก็สกัดไว้ในท่ามกลางศึก ประหนึ่งยับยั้งอสรพิษที่กำลังพิโรธ”
