Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
यदर्थ मां प्राहिणोत् त्वत्सकाशं बृहस्पतिं परिदातुं मरुत्ते । अयं गुरुर्याजयतां नृप त्वां मर्त्य सन््तममरं त्वां करोतु,उन्होंने जिस कामके लिये मुझे आपके पास भेजा है, उसे सुनिये। वे मेरे द्वारा बृहस्पतिजीको आपके पास भेजना चाहते हैं। उन्होंने कहा है कि बृहस्पतिजी आपके गुरु हैं। अतः ये ही आपका यज्ञ करायेंगे। आप मरणधर्मा मनुष्य हैं। ये आपको अमर बना देंगे
yadarthaṁ māṁ prāhiṇot tvatsakāśaṁ bṛhaspatiṁ paridātuṁ marutte | ayaṁ gurur yājayatāṁ nṛpa tvāṁ martya san tam amaraṁ tvāṁ karotu ||
จงฟังเหตุที่ข้าถูกใช้มาเถิด มรุตตะ พระองค์ทรงประสงค์จะให้ข้านำพฤหสปติมายังสำนักของท่าน และตรัสว่า “ผู้นี้คือครูของเจ้า; ข้าแต่ราชา ให้เขาเป็นผู้ประกอบยัญพิธีของเจ้า แม้เจ้าจะเป็นมนุษย์ผู้มีความตายเป็นธรรมดา ขอให้เขานำเจ้าไปสู่ภาวะแห่งความไม่ตาย”
