Adhyāya 42 — Mahābhūta–Indriya–Adhyātma-Vyavasthā
Brahmā’s Instruction on Elements and Faculties
bhittvā tu pṛthivīṃ yāni jāyante kālaparyayāt
The verse points to kāla (time) as a governing force in the arising of life: beings emerge according to the cycles and transformations of time, suggesting a worldview where birth and manifestation follow cosmic order rather than mere chance.
Vāyudeva is speaking and begins a description of beings that emerge from the earth as time turns—introducing or supporting a broader explanation about natural processes, cyclical change, and the ordered unfolding of events.
