अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः

ऋजुं पश्यति मेधावी पुत्रवत्‌ पाति न: सदा । 'ये भरतकुलभूषण युधिष्छिर शत्रुओंपर भी दया करनेवाले और परम पवित्र हैं। बुद्धिमान होनेके साथ ही ये सबको सरलभावसे देखनेवाले हैं और हमलोगोंका सदा पुत्रवत्‌ पालन करते हैं

ṛjuṁ paśyati medhāvī putravat pāti naḥ sadā |

ท่านเป็นผู้มีปัญญา มองสิ่งทั้งปวงด้วยความตรงไปตรงมา และคุ้มครองพวกเราอยู่เสมอประหนึ่งบุตร.
