अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

प्रीयमाणो महातेजा: सर्ववेदविदां वर: । बातचीतके अनन्‍्तमें सम्पूर्ण वेदवेत्ताओं और वक्ताओंमें श्रेष्ठ महातेजस्वी महर्षि व्यासजीने प्रसन्न होकर प्रज्ञाचक्षु राजा धृतराष्ट्रसे पुन: वही बात कही

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | prīyamāṇo mahātejāḥ sarvavedavidāṃ varaḥ |

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—มหาฤๅษีวยาส ผู้เปล่งรัศมีแห่งตบะและเป็นเลิศในหมู่นักรู้พระเวท เมื่อปลื้มปีติในดวงใจแล้ว จึงกล่าวถ้อยคำเดิมนั้นอีกครั้งแก่พระเจ้าธฤตราษฏระ ผู้มีดวงตาแห่งปัญญา
