Jamadagni–Reṇukā–Sūrya Saṃvāda

भूगुरुवाच प्रत्याक्रोशेदिहाक्रुष्टस्ताडित: प्रतिताडयेत्‌ । खादेच्च पृष्ठमांसानि यस्ते हरति पुष्करम्‌,भगु बोले--मुने! जिसने आपके कमलकी चोरी की है, वह गाली सुनकर बदलेमें गाली दे और मार खाकर बदलेमें स्वयं भी मारे तथा दूसरेकी पीठके मांस खाय अर्थात्‌ उपर्युक्त पापोंका भागी हो

bhṛgur uvāca pratyākrośed ihākr̥ṣṭas tāḍitaḥ pratitäḍayet | khādec ca pṛṣṭhamāṁsāni yas te harati puṣkaram ||

ภฤคุกล่าวว่า “หากถูกด่าที่นี่ ก็จงด่าตอบ; หากถูกตี ก็จงตีตอบ. และผู้ใดลักเอาดอกบัวของท่านไป ผู้นั้นจงถึงกับกินเนื้อจากแผ่นหลังของผู้อื่น—คือให้เป็นผู้มีส่วนร่วมในบาปทั้งหลายที่กล่าวมาแล้วนั้น.”
