The Origin of Gold and the Merit of Gifting
सत्यं च लोकवादो<यं लोके चरति सुव्रता: । स्वयं प्राप्ते परिभवों भवतीति विनिशक्ष॒य:
Bhīṣma uvāca: satyaṃ ca lokavādo ’yaṃ loke carati suvratāḥ | svayaṃ prāpte paribhavo bhavatīti viniścayaḥ ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “โอ้เหล่าโคผู้ทรงวัตรอันประเสริฐ สุภาษิตที่เลื่องลือในโลกนี้เป็นความจริง—ผู้ใดไปยังเรือนผู้อื่นโดยมิได้รับเชิญ ย่อมประสบความดูหมิ่นเป็นแน่ นี่คือข้อยุติอันมั่นคง”
