Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
अश्वमेधसहस्रं च सत्यं च तुलया धृतम् । अश्वमेधसहस्राद्धि सत्यमेव विशिष्यते,यदि तराजूके एक पलड़ेपर एक हजार अभश्वमेध यज्ञोंका पुण्य और दूसरे पलड़ेपर केवल सत्य रखा जाय तो एक सहसख्र अश्वमेध यज्ञोंकी अपेक्षा सत्यका ही पलड़ा भारी होगा
aśvamedhasahasraṃ ca satyaṃ ca tulayā dhṛtam | aśvamedhasahasrād dhi satyam eva viśiṣyate ||
หากนำบุญแห่งอัศวเมธะพันครั้งไว้ในถาดหนึ่ง และวางสัจจะไว้ในอีกถาดหนึ่ง สัจจะย่อมหนักกว่าพันอัศวเมธะ เพราะสัจจะประเสริฐยิ่งกว่า
