प्रचोदनं देवकृतं गवां कर्मसु वर्तताम् । पूर्वमेवाक्षरं चान्यदभिधेयं तत: परम्

การเร่งเร้าให้โคทำงานนั้น เทพเจ้าทั้งหลายได้วางไว้เป็นครั้งแรกเพื่อกิจอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ดังนั้นกฎเดิมอันเป็นหลักคือ การเทียมและขับวัวเพื่อยัญพิธีเป็นสิ่งน่าสรรเสริญ แต่การเทียมหรือเฆี่ยนขับเพื่อกิจอื่นที่มิใช่ยัญพิธีเป็นสิ่งควรถูกตำหนิ
