गवां लोकवर्णनं तथा गोप्रदानफलश्रुतिः

Description of the ‘World of Cows’ and the Stated Fruits of Cow-Gift

तथैव गा: प्रशंसन्ति न तु देयं ततः परम्‌ । संनिकृष्टफलास्ता हि लघ्वर्थाश्व युधिष्ठिर,इसी प्रकार गोदानकी भी प्रशंसा की गयी है। उससे बढ़कर कोई दान नहीं है। युधिष्ठिर! गोदानका फल निकट भविष्यमें मिलता है तथा वे गौएँ शीघ्र अभीष्ट अर्थकी सिद्धि करती हैं

tathaiva gāḥ praśaṃsanti na tu deyaṃ tataḥ param | saṃnikṛṣṭa-phalās tā hi laghv-arthāś ca yudhiṣṭhira ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ฉันนั้นแล ทานโคก็ได้รับการสรรเสริญ ไม่มีทานใดสูงไปกว่านั้น โอยุธิษฐิระ ผลของมันย่อมปรากฏในกาลใกล้ และโคเหล่านั้นย่อมนำความสำเร็จแห่งสิ่งที่ปรารถนามาโดยเร็ว”
