भीष्म उवाच इममर्थ पुरा पृष्टो नारदो देवदर्शन: । यदुक्तवानसौ वाक्यं तन्मे निगदत: शृणु

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | imam arthaṃ purā pṛṣṭo nārado devadarśanaḥ | yad uktavān asau vākyaṃ tan me nigadataḥ śṛṇu ||

Translation

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “โอ้ยุธิษฐิระ ในเรื่องนี้เอง ครั้งหนึ่งข้าเคยทูลถามนารท ฤๅษีผู้ได้เห็นเหล่าเทพ บัดนี้จงฟังเถิด ข้าจะถ่ายทอดถ้อยคำที่เขากล่าวไว้ในครั้งนั้นแก่เจ้า”
