आत्मवद् वै प्रयुड्जीरन् संस्कारान् ब्राह्मणादय: । धर्मशास्त्रेषु वर्णानां निश्चयो<यं प्रदृश्यते
ātmavad vai prayuñjīran saṃskārān brāhmaṇādayaḥ | dharmaśāstreṣu varṇānāṃ niścayo 'yaṃ pradṛśyate ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “พราหมณ์และวรรณะอื่น ๆ พึงประกอบสังสการอันกำหนดไว้แก่บุตรของตนดุจเดียวกับที่กระทำแก่ตนเอง ข้อนี้เป็นข้อสรุปอันมั่นคงที่ปรากฏในธรรมศาสตราว่าด้วยพิธีกรรมของวรรณะทั้งหลาย”
