एतदात्मनि कौरव्य दुष्कृतं विपुलस्तदा | अमन्यत महाभाग तथा तच्च न संशय:,महाभाग कुरुनन्दन! उस समय विपुलने अपने मनमें इसीको पाप माना और निस्संदेह बात भी ऐसी ही थी
etad ātmani kauravya duṣkṛtaṁ vipulas tadā | amanyata mahābhāga tathā tac ca na saṁśayaḥ ||
โอ้เชื้อสายกุรุผู้ประเสริฐ ครั้งนั้นวิปุละได้ตัดสินในดวงใจว่าเรื่องนี้เป็นกรรมอันชั่ว และแท้จริงก็เป็นเช่นนั้น—ปราศจากข้อสงสัย
भीष्म उवाच
Moral clarity begins with inner discernment: recognizing an act as duṣkṛta (wrongdoing) within one’s own mind is aligned with dharma, and such judgment should not be clouded by rationalization or external pressure.
Bhishma continues his instruction by reporting Vipula’s internal response to a prior incident: Vipula, at that moment, regarded the matter as sinful, and Bhishma confirms that this assessment was correct beyond doubt.
