पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
महारथश्न राजन्य एष्टव्य: शत्रुतापन: । इति मां नारद: प्राह सततं सर्वभूतये,पृथ्वी और श्रीकृष्णका संवाद सदा सब प्रकारकी समृद्धिके लिये नारदजीने मुझसे कहा कि शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले महारथी क्षत्रियके उत्पन्न होनेकी कामना करनी चाहिये
mahārathaś ca rājan ya eṣṭavyaḥ śatrutāpanaḥ | iti māṃ nāradaḥ prāha satataṃ sarvabhūtaye ||
พระวายุเทพตรัสว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา พึงอธิษฐานให้บังเกิดกษัตริย์นักรบมหารถี ผู้เผาผลาญศัตรูให้เร่าร้อน. นารทได้กล่าวแก่เราซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า ด้วยมุ่งประโยชน์และความผาสุกแห่งสรรพสัตว์ทั้งปวง.”
