कालोदकं नन्दिकुण्डं तथा चोत्तरमानसम् | अभ्येत्य योजनशताद्ू भ्रूणहा विप्रमुच्यते,सौ योजन दूरसे आकर कालोदक, नन्दि-कुण्ड तथा उत्तरमानस तीर्थमें स्नान करनेवाला मनुष्य यदि भ्रूणहत्यारा भी हो तो वह उस पापसे मुक्त हो जाता है
kālodakaṃ nandikuṇḍaṃ tathā cottaramānasam | abhyetya yojanaśatād bhṛūṇahā vipramucyate ||
ผู้ใดเดินทางมาจากระยะร้อยโยชน์ แล้วอาบชำระ ณ น้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์กาลोदกะ นันทิกุณฑะ และอุตตรมานสะ ผู้นั้นย่อมพ้นบาปได้ แม้เป็นผู้กระทำบาปหนักถึงขั้นฆ่าทารกในครรภ์
अजड्रिय उवाच
The verse teaches that pilgrimage to certain highly revered tīrthas—undertaken with significant effort—can function as a powerful means of expiation, symbolizing the possibility of moral purification and reintegration even after severe wrongdoing.
In a discourse on tīrthas and their merits, the speaker lists specific sacred waters (Kālodaka, Nandikuṇḍa, Uttaramānasa) and states their exceptional purificatory efficacy: one who reaches them after traveling a great distance is said to be freed from the sin of embryo-killing.
