Aṣṭāvakra–Strī-saṃvāda: Dhṛti, hospitality, and a dispute on autonomy
प्रीतो5स्मि सदृशं चैव तव सर्व धनाधिप । तव प्रसादाद् भगवन् महर्षेश्न महात्मन:,“धनाधिप! मैं बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ। आपकी सारी बातें आपके अनुरूप ही हैं। भगवन्! अब मैं आपकी कृपासे उन महात्मा महर्षि वदान्यकी आज्ञाके अनुसार आगे जाऊँगा। आप अभ्युदयशील एवं समृद्धिशाली हों।! इतना कहकर भगवान् अष्टावक्र उत्तर दिशाकी ओर मुँह करके चल दिये
prīto ’smi sadṛśaṃ caiva tava sarva dhanādhipa | tava prasādād bhagavan maharṣeśa mahātmanaḥ ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า: “โอ้ธนาธิป ข้าพเจ้าปลาบปลื้มยิ่ง ถ้อยคำทั้งปวงที่ท่านกล่าวล้วนสมกับความสูงส่งของท่านเอง โอ้ผู้ควรเคารพ โอ้มหาฤๅษีผู้ประเสริฐ โอ้มหาตมัน ด้วยพระกรุณาของท่าน บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าจักดำเนินต่อไปตามบัญชาของมหาฤๅษีผู้เอื้อเฟื้อนั้น ขอความเจริญและความมั่งคั่งจงเพิ่มพูนแก่ท่านเสมอ” ครั้นกล่าวดังนี้แล้ว พระอัษฏาวักระหันพระพักตร์สู่ทิศเหนือและออกเดินทาง
