Shloka 3

तदा त्वस्य भवेद्‌ बुद्धिर्धर्मार्थस्य प्रदर्शनात्‌ । तदाश्वसीत धर्मात्मा दृढबुद्धिर्न विश्वसेत्‌,जब धर्मका फल देखकर मनुष्यकी बुद्धिमें धर्मकी श्रेष्ठताका निश्चय हो जाता है, तभी उसका धर्मके प्रति विश्वास बढ़ता है और तभी उसका मन धर्ममें लगता है। जबतक धर्ममें बुद्धि दृढ़ नहीं होती तबतक कोई उसपर विश्वास नहीं करता

tadā tv asya bhaved buddhir dharmārthasya pradarśanāt | tadāśvasīt dharmātmā dṛḍhabuddhir na viśvaset |

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “เมื่อบุคคลได้เห็นจุดหมายแท้และผลแห่งธรรมะแล้ว ปัญญาย่อมตื่นรู้ถึงคุณค่าของธรรมะ ครั้นนั้นผู้มีใจตั้งอยู่ในธรรมย่อมได้ความอุ่นใจ ความเชื่อมั่นในธรรมะยิ่งเพิ่มพูน และจิตจึงตั้งมั่นในธรรมะ ตราบใดที่วิจารณญาณยังไม่มั่นคง ก็ไม่มีผู้ใดวางใจในธรรมะอย่างแท้จริง”
