Educational Q&A

When a moment of great moral and cosmic significance occurs, the epic often depicts nature itself responding. The imagery suggests that dharma is not merely social law but a cosmic principle: disturbance in righteousness reverberates through the elements.

Vāyu describes terrifying portents: waters churn, the earth shakes, mountains seem to melt and move, and the sky appears to裂 open. This functions as an omen-like description, intensifying the scene and signaling an extraordinary turning point.
