Shloka 32

ब्राह्मणा एव जायेरन्‌ नान्यो वर्ण: कथंचन । को होन॑ रथमास्थाय जीवेदन्य: पुमानिह,यह महान्‌ आश्वर्यकी बात देखकर दशार्हवंशी यादवोंको बड़ा क्रोध हुआ। उनमेंसे कुछ लोग वहाँ आपसमें इस प्रकार बातें करने लगे--“भाइयो! इस संसारमें ब्राह्मण ही पैदा हों, दूसरा कोई वर्ण किसी तरह पैदा न हो। अन्यथा यहाँ इन बाबाजीके सिवा और कौन पुरुष इस रथपर बैठकर जीवित रह सकता था

brāhmaṇā eva jāyeran nānyo varṇaḥ kathaṃcana | ko hy enaṃ ratham āsthāya jīved anyaḥ pumān iha ||

“ขอให้มีแต่พราหมณ์เท่านั้นที่ถือกำเนิด อย่าให้วรรณะอื่นเกิดขึ้นไม่ว่าด้วยประการใด เพราะในโลกนี้ นอกจากมหาบุรุษผู้นี้แล้ว ใครเล่าจะขึ้นรถศึกคันนี้แล้วยังมีชีวิตอยู่ได้?”
