तस्यैवोर्ध्व॑ तिर्यगधश्षुरन्ति गभस्तयो मेदिनीं भासयन्त: । त॑ं ब्राह्मणा वेदविदो जुषन्ति तस्यादित्यो भामुपयुज्य भाति,इन्हींके ऊपर-नीचे तथा अगल-बगलनमें पृथ्वीको प्रकाशित करनेवाली किरणें फैलती हैं। वेदवेत्ता ब्राह्मण इन्हींकी सेवा करते हैं और इन्हींके प्रकाशका सहारा लेकर सूर्यदेव प्रकाशित होते हैं

Transliteration

tasyaivordhvaṁ tiryag adhaś ca śuranti gabhastayo medinīṁ bhāsayantaḥ | taṁ brāhmaṇā vedavido juṣanti tasyādityo bhām upayujya bhāti ||

Translation

จากพระองค์ผู้เดียว รัศมีแผ่ขึ้น เบื้องข้าง และลงเบื้องล่าง ส่องสว่างไปทั่วแผ่นดิน พราหมณ์ผู้รู้พระเวทนอบน้อมบูชาและปรนนิบัติสภาวะนั้นเอง และพระอาทิตย์ก็ส่องประกายโดยอาศัยรัศมีของพระองค์
