अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
उपमन्युरुवाच एतान् दत्त्वा वरान् देवो वन्द्यमान: सुरभि: | स्तूयमानश्व विबुधैस्तत्रैवान्तरधीयत,उपमन्युने कहा--देवर्षियोंद्वारा वन्दित और देवताओंद्वारा प्रशंसित होते हुए महादेवजी इन वरोंको देकर वहीं अन्तर्धान हो गये
Upamanyur uvāca: etān dattvā varān devo vandyamānaḥ surabhiḥ | stūyamānaś ca vibudhais tatraivāntaradhīyata ||
อุปมันยุ กล่าวว่า: ครั้นประทานพรเหล่านั้นแล้ว พระผู้เป็นเจ้า—ผู้เป็นที่เคารพของสุรภีและได้รับการสรรเสริญจากเหล่าเทพ—ก็อันตรธานไป ณ ที่นั้นเอง।
