Pratyakṣa–Āgama–Ācāra: Doubt, Proof, and the Practice of Dharma (प्रत्यक्ष–आगम–आचारविचारः)

ये च दम्पतिधर्माण: स्वदारनियतेन्द्रिया: । चरन्ति विधिवद्‌ दृष्टं तदनुकालाभिगामिन:

ye ca dampatidharmāṇaḥ svadāraniyatendriyāḥ | caranti vidhivad dṛṣṭaṃ tad-anukālābhigāminaḥ ||

พระมหาเทวะตรัสว่า “ผู้ใดธำรงธรรมแห่งชีวิตคู่ ผู้ใดสำรวมอินทรีย์ต่อภรรยาผู้ชอบธรรมของตน ผู้ใดประพฤติตามจารีตที่พระเวทบัญญัติไว้โดยถูกต้อง และผู้ใดเข้าใกล้ภรรยาเฉพาะในกาลอันสมควร—คฤหัสถ์ผู้ทรงธรรมเช่นนั้นย่อมได้ผลแห่งการปฏิบัติตามธรรมที่ฤๅษีสอนไว้. บุรุษผู้เห็นธรรมไม่พึงเสพสุขเพียงเพราะแรงปรารถนา.”
