अहिंसा-आत्मौपम्य-उपदेशः | Instruction on Ahiṃsā and Self-Comparison Ethics

भरण्यां तु शिरो विद्यात्‌ केशाना्द्रां नराधिप । समाप्ते तु घृतं दद्याद्‌ ब्राह्मणे वेदपारगे

bharaṇyāṃ tu śiro vidyāt keśānārdraṃ narādhipa | samāpte tu ghṛtaṃ dadyād brāhmaṇe vedapārage ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่นราธิป! พึงรู้ว่า ภรณีคือ ‘ศีรษะ’ และอารฺทราคือ ‘เส้นผม’ (ของรูปจักรวาล). เมื่อกำหนดนักษัตรลงในอวัยวะต่าง ๆ เช่นนี้แล้ว บูชาด้วยมนตร์ประจำของแต่ละนักษัตร ประพฤติชปะและโหมะเป็นนิตย์; ครั้นการถือพรตสิ้นสุดในวันเพ็ญแล้ว พึงถวายเนยใสเป็นทานแก่พราหมณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญพระเวท.”
