Inquiry into the Discipline of Fasting
प्रत्यक्ष भिन्नहृदया भेदयेयु: कृतं नरा: । श्रियाभितप्ता: कौन्तेय भेदकामास्तथारय:
pratyakṣa-bhinnahṛdayā bhedayeyuḥ kṛtaṃ narāḥ | śriyābhitaptāḥ kaunteya bhedakāmās tathārayāḥ ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “หากพี่ใหญ่ลงโทษความผิดต่อหน้าผู้คน หัวใจของผู้น้อยย่อมแตกสลายบอบช้ำ และเขาจะนำความแข็งกร้าวนั้นไปเล่าลือในหมู่ชน ครั้นเห็นความรุ่งเรืองของพวกเขา ศัตรูมากมายที่ถูกเผาด้วยริษยา—โอ้โอรสแห่งกุนตี—ย่อมใคร่จะหว่านความแตกแยกในหมู่พวกเขา”
