Educational Q&A

Authority becomes dharmically valid when it is established through proper consecration and higher sanction, implying that rulership should be grounded in sacred order and responsibility rather than mere power.

Bhīṣma states that Indra (Vāsava) was anointed by the Lord and thereby installed as the king of the gods, presenting Indra’s sovereignty as formally and divinely confirmed.
