Yayāti–Devayānī Dialogue and Śukra’s Consent
गुरोरुष्प सकाशे तु दशवर्षशतानि स: । अनुज्ञात: कचो गन्तुमियेष त्रिदशालयम्,कचने एक हजार वर्षोतक गुरुके समीप रहकर अपना व्रत पूरा कर लिया। तब घर जानेकी अनुमति मिल जानेपर कचने देवलोकमें जानेका विचार किया
guror uśpasa-kāśe tu daśa-varṣa-śatāni saḥ | anujñātaḥ kaco gantum iyeṣa tridaśālayam ||
กจะพำนักอยู่ต่อหน้าพระอาจารย์อุศนัสครบหนึ่งร้อยทศวรรษ—คือหนึ่งพันปี—จนสำเร็จวัตรปฏิบัติของตน ครั้นได้รับอนุญาตให้ลาจากไปแล้ว เขาจึงตั้งใจมุ่งสู่ที่พำนักแห่งไตรทศะ คือเทวโลก
