Educational Q&A

As a colophon, the verse primarily teaches attentiveness to textual structure: it closes the Śakuntalā episode within the genealogy-focused Sambhava Parva, reminding readers that personal conduct and family origins are foundational to the larger dharmic and historical arc of the Mahābhārata.

The narrative action pauses: this line formally announces that the chapter centered on the Śakuntalā episode has concluded within Ādi Parva’s Sambhava Parva, preparing the text to move on to the next section.
