Śakuntalā-Janma-Nāmakaraṇa (Birth and Naming of Śakuntalā) | शकुन्तला-जन्म-नामकरणम्

धूम्रायास्तु धर: पुत्रो ब्रह्मुविद्यो ध्रुवस्तथा । चन्द्रमास्तु मनस्विन्या: श्वासाया: श्वसनस्तथा,धर और ब्रह्नवेत्ता ध्रुव धूम्राके पुत्र हैं। चन्द्रमा मनस्विनीके और अनिल श्वासाके पुत्र हैं। अह रताके और अनल शाण्डिलीके पुत्र हैं तथा प्रत्यूष और प्रभास ये दोनों प्रभाताके पुत्र बताये गये हैं

dhūmrāyāstu dharaḥ putro brahmavidyo dhruvastathā | candramāstu manasvinyāḥ śvāsāyāḥ śvasanastathā ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—จากธูมราได้กำเนิดธร และธรุวะผู้รู้พรหมัน จากมนัสวินีได้กำเนิดจันทรา และจากศวาสาได้กำเนิดศวสนะ (วายุ)
