कुरुवंशप्रश्नः—दुःषन्तस्य राजधर्मवर्णनम्

भरतानां महज्जन्म शृण्वतामनसूयताम्‌ । नास्ति व्याधिभयं तेषां परलोकभयं कुत:,जो दूसरोंके दोष न देखनेवाले भरतवंशियोंके महान्‌ जन्म-वृत्तान्तरूप महाभारतका श्रवण करते हैं, उन्हें इस लोकमें भी रोग-व्याधिका भय नहीं होता, फिर परलोकमें तो हो ही कैसे सकता है?

Translation

ผู้ใดสดับฟังเรื่องกำเนิดอันยิ่งใหญ่ของวงศ์ภารตะด้วยใจปราศจากริษยา—ผู้นั้นย่อมไม่มีความหวาดกลัวโรคภัยในโลกนี้ แล้วความหวาดกลัวปรโลกจักมีมาแต่ไหนเล่า
