कुरुवंशप्रश्नः—दुःषन्तस्य राजधर्मवर्णनम्

महीं विजयते राजा शत्रूंश्षापि पराजयेत्‌ । इदं पुंसवन श्रेष्ठमिदं स्वस्त्ययनं महत्‌,इसका श्रवण करनेवाला राजा भूमिपर विजय पाता और सब शत्रुओंको परास्त कर देता है। यह पुत्रकी प्राप्ति करानेवाला और महान्‌ मंगलकारी श्रेष्ठ साधन है

mahīṁ vijayate rājā śatrūṁś cāpi parājayet | idaṁ puṁsavanaṁ śreṣṭham idaṁ svastyayanaṁ mahat ||

กษัตริย์ผู้สดับเรื่องนี้ย่อมมีชัยเหนือแผ่นดิน และปราบศัตรูได้ด้วย. นี่คือพิธีปุงสวะนะอันประเสริฐเพื่อให้ได้บุตร และเป็นอุบายมงคลยิ่งเพื่อความสวัสดีใหญ่.
